MSW / Licensed Therapist Advisor

About the Role

The MSW / Licensed Therapist Advisor provides guidance to help WiSH thoughtfully support the social-emotional well-being of our students. The advisor may help the organization develop appropriate mentor boundaries, referral practices, and resources for students who may need additional mental health or social services. This is an advisory role and does not involve providing therapy to WiSH students (unless you wish to take this on). 

Time Commitment

This is a low-commitment advisory role. Guidance can be provided by email as questions arise, with the option of participating in an occasional Zoom meeting with WiSH leadership or the Board. The advisor may also help review resources or protocols as WiSH's mentorship program develops.

Legal Advisor

About the Role

The Legal Advisor provides general legal guidance to help WiSH operate responsibly as it grows. We are incorporated in the state of NY. Areas of need may include nonprofit governance, volunteer and mentor agreements, youth protection and safeguarding, privacy, contracts, and other legal considerations related to WiSH's programs and partnerships. The advisor would help identify when specialized legal counsel is needed rather than serving as WiSH's attorney for every matter.

Time Commitment

This is a low-commitment advisory role. Most communication can take place by email as questions arise, with occasional Zoom meetings when a matter requires discussion. The goal is to provide thoughtful guidance when needed rather than ongoing legal work.
