Minghui (Grace) Wang is a medical doctor, senior data analyst, and international medical graduate working toward continuing her medical career in the United States. Her interests span medicine, research, data, and education, and she enjoys bringing together these different areas of experience in ways that can support learning and personal growth.

As an international student who has moved to a new country herself, Grace understands the mix of excitement, uncertainty, and homesickness that can come with starting over somewhere unfamiliar. She knows how meaningful it can be to have someone who is willing to listen, answer questions, and make the transition feel a little less overwhelming. As a mentor, she hopes to help young women adapt more confidently to studying and living in the United States, develop a sense of belonging, and have a supportive space to talk openly about their questions, doubts, and goals.

Grace is also navigating the path of building a medical career in the U.S. as an international medical graduate and would be happy to share what she has learned with others who may benefit from her experience. She hopes to offer practical guidance while also reminding mentees that it is okay not to have everything figured out along the way.

Grace is especially inspired by her mother, who has continued learning throughout her life despite having limited educational opportunities. Her example shaped Grace’s belief that where you start does not have to determine where you can go. She hopes to help young women recognize their strengths, trust themselves, and feel confident pursuing opportunities that may initially seem out of reach.

What do you wish someone would have told you when you were in high school?

You are worthy, you are capable, and you can achieve what you set your heart on—even when it feels as though the whole world doubts you.
